This week I started compiling the pages in InDesign and created functional buttons, I bumped into a few problems but I managed to fix it in the end with some help from my classmates. Here are some screenshots of the result in inDesign. I incorporated all the button functions and slideshows in inDesign. After adding the functions, I tested everything on an iPad and there were no errors, and I handed my files to Casey in order for her to compile our magazine.

On this week, we have finalized our prototypes and have compiled them together. We couldn't dive right into InDesign right away because we were having some issues with the software and hence a slight hiatus this week. On this week, we consulted Mr. Razif with our compiled prototypes. Here are the images. After receiving countless feedbacks on the traditional dessert pages, I decided to redo the prototype with another concept, instead of the sticky notes style like the previous one. Here are the images of the new prototype for traditional desserts.
This week, Angelica finished her prototypes and I made some changes to mine as well after receiving some feedbacks from Mr. Razif.

Casey's part. After receiving some feedbacks, Casey did some changes to her prototypes.
This week, we booked the photolab in the campus and shot our cover page footage and so on. Here are the thumbnails of the shots that we have done. The shooting took about 2 hours to complete. After the shooting is done, we divided tasks among the group to further research on about the articles. The task are divided as below. I have summarised the reviews we got from all 3 cafes. Below is my result.
This week we decided to visit all 3 of the chosen cafes. We visited the cafes in these order : Bowery Petit, Aboong and Snowflake. Firstly we visited Bowery Petit in the morning, we ordered a Rainbow Bagel, Keylime Pie, and a Whoopie Pie. Before our desserts came, we took some pictures of the inside of the cafe and we took pictures of the desserts afterwards. We briefly wrote down our reviews on the desserts before heading to the next cafe. Next, we visited Aboong and Snowflake and did the same thing. We ordered the Original Flavour (Best Seller) and the Chocolate waffle flavour. We ordered the Best Seller and also Uji'Ryo Supreme from Snowflake. |
